Koru 2.2 beta
31 Oct 2024
This update adds “Notes” objects, easier client–side image loading and USD format support.
Notes
You’ll notice a new icon in the toolbar — that’s notes. Notes are similar to callouts, but they don’t move with the scene.
Basically, notes are watermark–like callouts. They stay on the screen, displaying text, but styled up like callouts and share styles with them.
Exactly as callouts, notes can act like buttons, linked to some other pages.
Images Loading
Both callouts and notes can now load images and put them onto shapes.
All you need is to create a separate material for the image surface, provide the default image and assign the note or callout to handle that material:
Once the scene is exported, users can click the button and get a file selection window. The image they select will be loaded to the selected material.
USD Format Support
This update adds USD format support, so you can load many models available online and use them in scenes.
Please contact us if you have issues with USD files, as they might be really complex and we’re trying our best to support them well.
Other Changes
Besides the listed above, this update fixes some environment texture issues and provides better compatibility with the latest Mac OS.
