The update adds font styles and overall improves text rendering.
You can now select font styles for all the texts in the app. Note that previous options like “bold” and “italic” were removed, but styles catch it up for old projects.
The update also improves text rendering with regards to size. Now texts on both Mac and Windows match each other and the ones done in 3rd party apps. This will surely affect existing projects, but that’s a one off issue and that’s for good.
Finally, some font rendering issues in preview were fixed and MacOS compatibility improved.
The beta version is good enough for testing and even for production usage, so give it a try. It will not upgrade your projects, so you can switch back to the previous version if needed, but remember to have a backup copy of your data anyway.
