Snapshot Rendering

Snapshot batch rendering allows you to render multiple snapshots of the same project as separate images in a single job. This is useful when you have prepared several scene states (camera angles, layouts, visibility settings, etc.) and want to render all or some of them at once.

This batch mode is started from the Render menu, just like other animation and batch rendering tools.

Starting Snapshot Batch Rendering

Open your project and make sure it contains one or more snapshots, then open the Render menu, and select Render Snapshots… there.

A setup window will appear.

Selecting Snapshots

On the left side of the window, you will see a list of all snapshots available in the current project.

Snapshot Dimension Anchor

On the right side of the window, you will find the Snapshot dimension to anchor option.

This setting defines how the snapshot’s aspect ratio is matched to the rendering resolution. It selects which snapshot dimension is used as the anchor. The corresponding scene resolution side is kept, and the other side is scaled to preserve the snapshot’s aspect ratio.

Available options:

This allows snapshots with different aspect ratios to be rendered correctly without distortion.

Proceeding to Rendering Setup

Once you have selected the snapshots to render and chosen the appropriate snapshot dimension anchor, click the Next button at the bottom of the window.

You will be taken to the standard rendering setup window, which is the same one used for all animation and batch rendering modes.

Configuring Rendering Options

In the rendering setup window, you can configure output resolution, target file format, rendering quality settings and more. These settings apply to all snapshots included in the batch job.

After configuring the rendering options, click the Enqueue button to create a “render later” job for the snapshot batch rendering.

Rendering proceeds exactly like other batch and animation jobs.
