CODE-93 Barcode Format
CODE-93 was designed in 1982 by U.S. firm Intermec to provide a higher density and data security enhancement compared to CODE-39. It is an alphanumeric, variable length symbology with every symbol including two checking characters.
Each CODE-93 character is divided into 9 modules and consists of three bars and three spaces. Each bar and space is up to 4 modules wide. In addition to the initial 43 characters, the symbology defines 5 special characters, that helps to represent all ASCII characters.
Standard CODE-93 features that are supported by the Barcode Generator include:
- Optional full ACII charset support;
- Adjustable bar widths for printing error compensation;
- Manual and automatic bar height modes;
- Font customization; and
- Customizable front and back colors with spot color support for EPS file export.
High-quality PNG and TIFF CODE-93 barcode images can be exported to your desktop, or dragged-and-dropped into Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, using the Barcode Software.
